Track what you own,
down to the last rupee
The Portfolio Tracker records every buy and sell, prices your holdings live during market hours, and works out your real profit after broker fees, capital gains tax and dividends. This guide covers every part of it.
From first trade to true profit
The Portfolio Tracker follows the life of your money. You set it up once, record your trades, then read a single dashboard that always tells you where you stand, after costs.
Your portfolio is private and signed in. It is tied to your account, saved securely and synced across your devices, so your holdings follow you from phone to laptop. A one-tap privacy toggle hides every amount when you are not alone.
Build it around your real account
When you create a portfolio you tell PakStockLab who you trade with and how you are taxed. That is what lets it show your true, after-cost profit instead of a rough guess.
Give it any label, for example “Long term” or “Trading account”. You can rename it later.
Choose your brokerage from the full list of PSX members, or select no broker if you would rather not track fees.
Sets your default capital-gains rate. Filers and non-filers can carry different rates.
The capital-gains tax percentage applied to your realised profits. Pre-filled from your tax status, and editable.
Broker fee schedule. Each portfolio carries a fee model matching the PSX retail standard (a small percentage on trades from Rs 20 up, a per-share rate below that, with FED already folded in). Every trade you add uses it to compute the real fee automatically, and you can fine-tune the rates any time.
Keep several portfolios
Run separate portfolios for different accounts or strategies. Switch between them from the selector at the top; the active one is remembered next time you visit.
Rename, adjust or delete
Rename a portfolio, reopen its settings to change broker, tax status, CGT rate or fee schedule, or delete one you no longer need.
Every trade builds your average cost
Add a buy or a sell and PakStockLab keeps a running weighted-average cost per share for each holding. That average is the anchor for all your profit figures, so it is worth seeing how it moves.
Your trades
What PakStockLab works out
- Shares held
- 150
- Average cost / share
- Rs 248.00
- Total cost basis
- Rs 37,200.00
- Realised P&L from sells

Try it: add a trade and watch the average cost re-blend. Selling books a realised profit at that average and leaves the rest of the position untouched.
What the Add Transaction form asks for
Buy or sell
Pick the trade type, then search for the company by symbol or name. The price pre-fills with the latest close so you can just confirm or adjust.
Quantity, price and date
Enter how many shares and at what price, on the date you actually traded. Back-dating works, so you can enter old trades and keep your history accurate.
Broker fee, done for you
The fee is estimated from your portfolio's schedule and shown before you save. Paid a different amount? Type an override and it sticks for that trade.
Total cash preview
See the total cash paid (buys) or received (sells), fee included, before saving, so the number matches your broker's contract note.
Optional notes
Jot a reason like “dividend reinvestment” or “averaging down” on any trade for your own record.
Five figures that tell you where you stand
Across the top of the tracker sit five stat cards. Together they separate what you have gained on paper from what you have actually banked, after tax and fees.

Live
Unrealised vs Realised
Unrealised P&L is profit on shares you still hold, moving with the market. Realised P&L is locked-in profit from shares you have sold, shown after capital-gains tax so it is what you truly kept.
Total Value and Today's Change
Total Value is every holding at its current price plus any cash. Today's Change is the single-day move of your whole book, in rupees, so you can glance and know how the day went.
Privacy and more stats
The eye toggle blurs every rupee figure at once for shoulder-surfing safety. Expand “More stats” to see total broker fees paid and net dividends received.
The freshness badge is honest
It never pretends prices are live when they are not. It always tells you exactly which of three states you are looking at.
Market open and prices are fresh. Values re-price every few seconds while the PSX is trading.
Market is open but a live update was missed. You keep the last good prices until the feed recovers.
Outside trading hours. Everything is valued at the last closing price, the same figure every screen shows.
Everything you own, at a glance
The Holdings tab is where you live day to day. A colour-coded heatmap shows what is winning and losing, backed by a value chart, allocation charts and a full table.
Try it: toggle By stock and By sector. Tile size is the position's value; green is a gain, red a loss. Bigger, greener tiles are carrying your portfolio.
Two charts that read at a glance
The value of your whole portfolio over recent months, so you see the trend, not just today.
How your money is split across holdings, as a pie and as bars, so any over-concentration in one name is obvious.
The holdings table, column by column
Qty
Shares you hold right now.
Buy Price
Your weighted-average cost per share.
Current Price
The latest, live market price.
Total Cost
What the position cost you in all.
Mkt Value
What it is worth today.
P&L
Rupee gain or loss on the position.
P&L %
That gain or loss as a percentage.
Weight
The position's share of your whole book.
Winners show green, losers red, and each symbol links straight to that company's full profile if you want to dig deeper.
Dividend hints
When a stock you hold has a dividend coming up, a small chip on its row shows the ex-date so you never miss it.
Tidy up positions
Remove a position, or use select-to-delete to clear several at once. Your trade history stays intact either way.
A complete record of every trade
Every buy and sell you add lands in the History tab. It is the source of truth behind your holdings, so it is fully editable if you ever need to correct something.
| Date | Symbol | Type | Qty | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 18 Sep 2026 | SYS | buy | 50 | Rs 300.00 |
| 02 Sep 2026 | MEBL | buy | 100 | Rs 240.00 |
| 26 Aug 2026 | OGDC | sell | 40 | Rs 205.00 |
| 14 Aug 2026 | LUCK | buy | 30 | Rs 980.00 |
Group by date or by stock
See a straight timeline of trades, or collapse them under each symbol to review a single company's buys and sells together.
Filter and search
Show only buys or only sells, and search by symbol to jump to the trades you care about in a long history.
Edit or delete any trade
Fix a wrong price, quantity or date, or remove a trade entirely. Your holdings and profit recompute instantly.
Never miss a payout again
PakStockLab knows the PSX dividend calendar and cross-checks it against your own trade history. It nudges you about payouts you earned and lets you record them with tax handled.
Dividends to Review
Payouts whose ex-date has passed while you held the shares, but that you have not recorded yet. Confirm one and it drops straight into your income with the amount pre-filled.
Upcoming Dividends
Declared, forward-dated payouts on stocks you currently hold, with an estimate of the income based on your position. Confirming stays locked until the ex-date actually passes.
Recorded Income
Every dividend you have booked, filterable by symbol and date range, with a running net total, so you always know how much passive income the portfolio has thrown off.
Recording a dividend
Add one by hand any time, or confirm a suggested one. Either way you get a clean net figure.
Amount and shares
Enter the dividend per share and how many shares you held at the ex-date. The gross payout is worked out for you.
Withholding tax
A 15% withholding rate is applied by default and is editable, so the net figure matches what actually reached your account.
Optional Zakat
Turn on Zakat and set the rate (2.5% by default) to have it deducted too, for a net number that fits your situation.
Bring years of trades in without the typing
Already have a trading history? You do not have to key it in one trade at a time. Import a file or a PDF contract note, or connect your broker email and let the trades flow in on their own.
Import from a file
Upload
Drop in a CSV or Excel file, or a broker PDF contract note (up to 10 MB). Your file is checked before anything is read.
Map columns
Columns are auto-detected and matched to symbol, type, quantity, price and date. Known broker layouts map themselves; save a template to reuse next time.
Preview
See exactly which rows will import. Unknown PSX symbols are rejected and duplicates are flagged, so nothing sneaks in twice.
Done
Confirm and every valid trade lands in your history at once, ready to price and track.
PDF contract notes work too
Upload the trade confirmation your broker emails you. Recognised broker formats are read exactly; other layouts are handled by an AI assist that structures the trades for you.
AI-assisted, but you check
When AI extracts trades from a messy PDF, the rows are flagged so you can eyeball quantities and prices in the preview before they save.
Duplicate handling
Re-importing overlapping files is safe. Choose to skip duplicates, replace them, or import anyway, so a partial re-import never double-counts.
Or link your broker email
Most PSX brokers email you a contract note after every trade. Connect that inbox once and new trades import themselves.
Open Broker Email Sync
From the actions menu on the Portfolio page, open Broker Email Sync.
Connect Gmail or Outlook
Pick your provider and sign in. You grant read-only access, so PakStockLab can read messages but never send or change anything.
Let it scan
Your inbox is checked on a schedule, or hit Sync Now. It finds broker contract-note emails and reads their attachments automatically.
Review and import
Parsed trades queue in the Import Inbox as ready, needs-review or duplicate. Pick the portfolio, then import one, import all, or reject anything wrong.
Nothing imports without your OK
Emails only ever become a review queue. A trade reaches your portfolio only when you approve it.
Read-only and encrypted
Access is read-only and your mailbox connection is stored encrypted. Disconnect any account in one click, any time.
It works both ways. From the actions menu you can export your holdings or your full trade history to CSV any time, to back it up, share it with an accountant, or move it into your own spreadsheet.
See exactly what costs you keep paying
The Deductions view gathers every rupee that leaves your pocket in tax and fees into one picture, for a single portfolio or all of them together, so nothing is hidden.
Withholding tax and any Zakat taken out of the dividends you received.
Every brokerage commission and trade tax you have paid across your buys and sells.
Estimated CGT on the profits you have realised, at your portfolio's rate.
Illustration only. Your real deductions are built from your own trades and dividends.
Knowing your total drag from tax and fees is the difference between a headline return and the money you actually take home. Check it before you judge how a strategy really did.
Run your portfolio like a pro
A few habits that keep the tracker accurate and genuinely useful over the long run.
Set your broker and CGT rate honestly at the start, so every profit figure is after real costs, not a rough guess.
Enter old trades with their true dates. Back-dating keeps your average cost and history accurate from day one.
Import a statement or connect broker email to load years of trades in minutes instead of typing them one by one.
Check the Deductions view before judging returns: fees and tax decide how much of the gain you actually keep.
